What a rug pull is
A rug pull is when a project team abandons it and takes investor funds, often by pulling liquidity or minting unlimited tokens and dumping them.
Red flags
Anonymous teams with no track record, unaudited contracts, unlocked liquidity, ownership that can mint freely, and hype that vastly outpaces substance.
Protecting yourself
Check whether liquidity is locked, whether the contract is verified and audited, and who holds mint and owner permissions. Be wary of guaranteed returns and pressure to buy quickly.
