What a multisig is

A multisig wallet requires several keys to approve a transaction — for example two of three. No single compromised key can move funds alone.

Why it helps

If one device or signer is phished or stolen, the attacker still cannot transact without the other approvals. It is a strong fit for treasuries and large personal holdings.

Using it well

Store signer keys separately and diversely, so one breach cannot reach a quorum. Understand the recovery process, and still verify every transaction — multisig raises the bar but does not replace vigilance.
